The Contra Costa Sheriff Police Pipes and Drums was established in 2005.
It is the only "All-Police" pipe and drum band in California.
The band is open to all sworn, civilian and retired law enforcement
personnel as well as current and former reserves from any law enforcement,
corrections or fire agency. The band is available to perform for line of
duty funerals and other law-enforcement related, civic and private events.
Perhaps its most important and lasting contribution will be creating a
tradition within the Bay Area law enforcement community.
No public monies have been spent to establish or maintain the Pipes &
Drums. Generous private donations and band fundraising activities are its
sole means of support.
