Public Information Officer

The Public Information Officer is the primary liaison between the Office of the Sheriff and the news media. The P.I.O. assists and supports Sheriff Office personnel on media related matters, responds to media and community requests for information about the organization and serves as a spokesperson. The P.I.O. develops relations with local print and broadcast reporters and monitors media coverage of the Sheriff's Office.
